Becoming is operated by Jose Eduardo Chavez, who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can reach us at notify@mybecoming.live.

• Account details — first name, first letter of your last name, email address, phone number (optional), and sign-in credentials.
• Preferences — the message categories you choose (spiritual, biblical, motivational, literature, poetry) and your subscription plan.
• Your content — vision journal entries, gratitude notes, themes, and any images you upload.
• Support messages — anything you send us when asking for help.
• Usage and device data — basic telemetry, IP address, and device identifiers used to keep the service secure and working well.

Payment details are collected and processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record); we never see or store your full card number.

• To create your account and deliver your daily or weekly messages (performance of our contract with you).
• To personalize messages using your chosen categories and journal themes (contract and legitimate interests).
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests and legal obligation).
• To improve the product and provide customer support (legitimate interests).
• To send marketing about Becoming where you've opted in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

Journal entries are never shared, never quoted publicly, and never used to train AI models. They are used only to shape the messages sent to you.

• Service providers who host and operate the app, email delivery, and analytics.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of subscriptions, payment processing, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

We keep your data while your account is active and for a short period afterward as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your settings.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these, email notify@mybecoming.live — we respond within one month.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, strict access controls, and row-level isolation of your data — to protect your information.

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and the service functioning. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If we update this notice, we'll post the new version here with a revised date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the new notice.
